Sheri Iannetta Cupo, a founding principal of SAGE Advisory Group in Morristown, N.J., says that as a former GE employee, she found it frustrating trying to make sense of the stock options she was granted. “I asked around for help and no one seemed to understand what they were or what to do with them,” she says. As a result, she’s made guiding corporate employees through compensation packages a key part of her practice. “I have a deeper understanding of what our clients deal with day-to-day,” she says.”
